think it was last month a massive junction - traffic blackspot - in london littered with traffic lights reported the lights had all failed and on a usually nose to tail jam period it was free flowing and clear without the 'aid' of the lights........

Happens here - when the traffic lights in the city centre are broke,the authorities put a circle of cones in the middle,a makeshift mini roundabout,and traffic flows much better.

Yet they dug up a perfectly good roundabout and put traffic lights there instead - resulting not only in increased congestion,but a horrific T-bone smash when someone missed a light.

And the bloke who rubber stamped the project is still in the job.

nanny state, obviously can't trust me to use a roundabout, corner without a sign, stop without a light or any other of the many many things that are stark staringly obvious to anyone with the slightest common sense but the government feel obligated to tell us! i deliver food in manchester city centre on fri/sat/sunday night and on one of those nights i normally travel back to preston no earlier than 11:30pm and i love it

takes half the time it does when theres traffic!

I work nights it great driving to work at 12:30 but ending at 8:30am is soooooooo shit as all the 9-5 and school people are on the road as well!

Whenever I work nightshift it's 7 till 7, so quite good really.
