so i bought me self some g40 calipers and discs today.

got the car up in the air took the wheel off and sprayed calipers bolts with wd40 and then came back 10 mins later stated with the bolt at the top

which i tightend a little before loosening was tight as a mother but it started to undo or at least i thougt it was and then crack! and that was it i have about 2cm of bolt and the rest is still inside.

what are my options??? :-) :-)

so has the head actually snapped off the bolt?

I suspect the easiest thing to do now is to replace the caliper carrier. Otherwise it'll be a case of trying to drill it out. I assume there's not enough bolt sticking out to get some vise-grips on to?

this happenedto me when i was replacing the discs and pads on my 6n. i just got a drill bit that was about 2mm smaller than the bolf, deilled through it and pulled the bit of bolt out with pliers. then i just took the other bolt to a bolt shop and got a new one it only cost about 50p.

angle grind a slit in to the bolt then screw inwards with a big screwdriver also loads of wd and heat if you got a gas gun

hows he going to do that when the rest of the bolt is recessed within the carrier/caliper

Get yourself a set of easy outs, basically reversed thread drill bit type thingames. Drill a pilot hole in the middle of the bolt and then wind the easyout in, backwards obviously so as your tightening the easyout its undoing the bolt :)
