Bbs Split Rim Alloys

Featured Replies

4 x used BBS Alloy Wheels, that are standard fit on the 2000 VW Polo GTi.

These are the authentic BBS split rim alloys, rather than imitation split rim/two piece wheels. I've listed these on Ebay with a pic of each wheel close up. See http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...sid=p2762.l1259 . As you can see from the pictures, the paint is flaky on all four wheels and will need a refurb. These are my sister's wheels, and she hasn't the inclination to do such jobs so has bought off the peg replacements. They don't look as good as these would refurbished, in my opinion, but her call!

The wheels are fitted with four tyres of mixed branding. All legal tread depth, as should be visible from the pictures. Due to the flaky paintwork a couple occasionally deflate a little.

She's not sure what she wants for them, but has seen others on here with offers of around £150. Make me an offer if you're interested and I'll pass it on to her for consideration.

Wheels are in Cambridge.

am interested in these mate - question though...how do a couple deflate because of the flaky paintwork????

also, is it just flaky paint or is there any damage to the rim or buckles or anything??

money waiting and can collect any time as am out of work

Basically they deflate because where some of the flaky paint is coming loose, it means the seal between the tyre and rim is imperfect, which gets disturbed when using the wheels. A refurb of the flaky paint would sort it out.

I'm not aware that the wheels are buckled or anything like that. Think there's a few scuffs on them aside from the flaky paintwork, but nothing I'm aware of as unusal. Again, fairly sure a refurb would sort these out.

If you're interested in coming to have a look send me an email and I'll put you in contact with my sister who owns them so you can sort out a convenient time between you.
