just been petrol station and i counted my money wrong before filling up, ended up being 4p short and the guy let me off, but can they turn round and say i didnt pay?

and i have no receipt as the guy didnt give me one

he was an arse at first, but i give him proof of id, told him id nip home and be back in 10 and he was fine.

Can't you leave them with something of value as a kinda thing to say that you'll come back, like your stereo faceplate or your phone?

they usually take your photocard driving licence round our way. i popped to a local station put a tenner in, checked my pocket and the tenner i was about to pay with was gone, so he took my finger prints and licence.

i drove home and it was lying in my street where my car was parked so i took it back and paid just thought my fingerprints was a little ott.

i've seen a fella pull into another station round my area with a 52 reg orion and proceed to fill a 45 gallon drum and drive off! he didn't even bother getting a beliveable plate for the car 2002 ford orion? hahaha!

most of the supermarket petrol stations willl give you 7days to pay if you have forgot your wallet/money/bankcard etc.. if i was super skint before payday i used to fill up and then do the old crap acting at the till "Oh no i have forgot my wallet" worked well except when i did it in shell and the the foreign guy said "well you cant have your car until you pay" and he wasn't joking i had to run to my dads work need get some money! Fail

4p is hardly worth losing sleepover, besides I'm sure it states somewhere in the law you have 28days to pay at a Petrol station, if you can't pay at the time.

The other thing is that there might be an introduction of pay first then fuel up stations as a means to stop

people re-fueling then driving off without paying.

its only a matter of time......

i filled up 30quid the other day, then realised i hadnt got my wallet. haha, they wrote out some form thingy and i had 7 days to pay.

LOL I've done this many of time, dont worry about it dude.

Don't worry, the transaction would have gone through as normal so it wouldn't have come up with someone not paying for petrol.
