Thanks

i know alot of people will ask why i didnt buy a 6n2 but i wanted to save this from being scrapped but also make it so it looked a little more modern

not really done anything perdormance wise just done all the necesery work to make the engine run sound

thanks again

i know people will keep asking

i bought the car for pennies and managed to get most of the front end quite cheap then i just worked on it in between jobs in our bodyshop, in the end i'm still spent alot less than what a mk5 woulda cost me at the time :)

you are a god mate. very talented guy. and own the best polo I've ever seen. what you call it now a 6n or 6n2 lol

  • Author

a 6n²

the only parts left on it from a 6n are the quarter panels and engine :p

anything else after retrim mate?? maybe a cheeky engine conversion? :)

  • Author

i wish, after the retrim i'll be done for a while and maybe be moving on to something new and a bit bigger but wouldn't mind a 20VT....................a can keep dreaming

Cars looking good mate ... just a quick question were did u get you are preset plates from ... :)

hey mate nice build.

how much hassle is it to fit a 6n2 front bumper? i know you need a bonnet too, do you need wings?

sorry i haven't read the whole thread.

  • Author

it takes a while, you need the bonnet, bumper, both wings, full front panel, both headlights, indicators, then have them rewired etc

hmm one for the future then haha

I've looked through this whole thread, and i am baffled as to why you've gone through all that hard graft to make it into something you can already buy...

strikes somewhat pointless to me... never the less, amazing crafting, and serious skill.

still under the cost of what a 6n2 would be

people will never stop asking you that mate...and for that reason i feel sorry for you already mate!

i understand perfectly why you did it, people should really stop asking the qestion. it looks wicked and its something different. all kind of win in my eyes

i know people will always ask why and alot wont see the point but it doesn't bother me, i know i've spent the hours in it, made it a little different and i like it, thats what matters

Looks awesome. I dont understand why u didnt buy a 6n2 either but still respect to u! You should call it a 6n3 haha got all the best bits from the 6n and 6n2 if only VW had this idea! Weldone bro.

been kinda losing focus on it recently and with people describing it as my ornament i had to get a move on and now with show season coming up and hopefully the bad weather fading soon i decided to start to get a move on, need to finish giving it a good polish and start building up the wax, have to keep hold of the cups for a while longer so got some Belgom Alu polish for the dishes and some engine cleaner and dresser

just relised from the before and after pic you cant really see a difference
