awesome well I'm currently saving up for some nice alloys so whenever they are ready would you mind giving me a pm to let me know a price? it would be such an honour to have your alloys on my car :)

i'm not sure exactly on costs but inc the car just now i'd say in the region of 2k seeing as i've done all the bodywork and paint in between customers cars and get all the parts at trade price

will do mate, not sure if i'm taking the tyres off tho if they will fit the new wheels but i'll let you know

BRAND NEW GENUINE 6N2 ROOF

27df86e8.jpg

already stripped out the headliner, pillars, visors and sunroof, front screen is being cut out tomorrow and binned, tailgate and seats being removed on friday and bye bye old roof friday night

I CAN'T wait to get this on, chose a better colour for this one aswell

such a clean looking car really reallly like this and I'm not too much of a fan of white for some reason! done perfectly imo. thought roof would have been a fairly big job tbh, the thought of it scares me tbf especially if its anyhing like mini roofs that involve cutting and wealding aha

  • Author

thanks bud, the rood isn't as bad as minis or older golfs, you need to remove the roof runners and drill out all of the spot welds, remove the front screen and tailgate and grind off the welds then cut out all the sealer and it will lift right off. audi, vw porsche etc now don't weld panels back on as theres a better way and easier to do aswell

oh and i may aswell smooth off the ariel hole while it laying here i suppose :p

Bleddy hell haha!

What was wrong with the old roof? Didn't know you could get replacement roofs lol

Looking forward to seeing it finished man :)

  • Author

yip they are still available but need to order them and it takes a while

the old roof had that horrible sunroof in it and it looked a mess and when you got over 60mph it rattled and drove you mad so simple solution was to fit a new roof with no sunroof
