also got the smoothed petrol cap primed, quite happy with how it turned out

SS101406.jpg

Got a genuine mk5 gti spoiler with break light so decided to rub it down and reprime it so the finish was completely flat

OEM mods FTW! loving it mate... i hate bodykitted road cars without a prupose, but this is sweet! like the hours put in and the overall vision in mind! hurry up and finish so we can all see!

nah i dont see the point in body kits etc, like to keep it standard but just play about with the looks and height

well sent my RH cups off to mike the polisher on sunday and went to collect them today, he's done an excellent job on them seeing as they were badly kerbed and corroded, only had the dish polished and i'm going to paint the centers and he even gave me a free bottle of wax to protect the dish :rthumb:

you filled in the lines between the panels and the side sideskirts, looks awesome

I reckon your going mk5 tailgate and all red rears as it looks like you have extended the bits below the lights :p

Cant wait to see this finished!!

  • Author

yes they have been filled but only extended by millimeters and yes i am going with the mk5 tailgate, good eye ;)

and FINALLY!!!!!!

the car is now painted and just drying in the spraybooth, now we get to the challenge

the entire car has to be flattened and polished, built up interior and exterior, need to order lights, adjust the coilovers . THEN its off for its mot which i am expecting to cost a bit as the car has lay for just about a year now so something must need replaced, insure the car, tax it and get it all set for its first show which is in 10 days time

will it make it

lets find out

  • Author

now the cars out the booth its now started the 8 stage polishing which should take 3 days

pics soon

  • Author

everything is finished and built up, just the back bumper to do and we're set

anyway tried something different with the wheels so hope they look ok when they get fitted
