Thinking of polishing the steels and then lacquering them. anybody got any pics?

dont think itd work mate,,cant imagine steel polishing very well.

you can polish any metal

it would be a longer prosess than ally tho

youd have to laquer it as it would rust QUICK

I've seen some banded steelies, with a polished lip, i cant remember where it was though. but it looked sweet.

dont just polish normal steelies, theres no point, it would be a waste of time and effort.

Polishing steels wouldn't be worth the hassle imo, but those banded G60s look lovely

best is to chrome the rims. even if you put laker it will eventualy get rusty or else you keep applying some sort of oil to creat some sort of air tight layer..

ime i did this to a bmx frame once and it was shiny for some time, even with varnish it eventualy got darker started to go brown... hehe..

i woudl get them chromed then spray the centres its going to last alot longer than polishinga dn a shit load easier i reckon. Show wheels only though.

ever tryed painting over chrome plating ??

not 6n steels but just to give you an idea..my old mk1 rockin polished steelies.. had them on the car for over a year an drivin in all weather
