Queries On The Polo Show

Featured Replies

I am looking at other users cars around the forum and i really dont think that by the time of the show my car is going to be up to a good standard.

I have lots of ideas for the car but its just getting the money :(

was looking at pandas 9n project and i loved the look of the car.

Will my car have to be anything special to be presented at the show ?

It will be my first show and don't want to be turned up and laughed at.

Maybe this is just me being paranoid :paranoid:

someone please give me some reassurance on the matter.

:)

thanks for that dude, and thats exacly what i'm going to do :)

haha i know, i have had a little bit of stick about them but also some compliments, i didn't actually put them their bought the car like it.

i think they can stay for a while though :)

peace

Don't panic fella.

The show caters for all tastes, from the show cars to the proper ratted so you'll be fine.

There is a show and shine but it's not like the normal big shows, any Polo's welcome, it's all about the people and atmosphere.

Its all about Friday and Saturday night! Boozing, BBQ's and chatting with mates about any random stuff! Unless you're Panda, then setting fire to things and poisoning chrispy come into it :-D

chrispy poisoned himself!! he shouldnt of put that bin bag on the fire    !!!

 forgot that! Thought your bro did it! That night was pretty epic so its pretty hard to remember everything (drinking don't help :-D)

Being mashed in the tent next door didn't help either!! Haha.

We having a show and shite too? I should look but...........

The atmosphere is the best bit along with the ever favourite Danny Lee slip and slide!

Put it this way, last year I showed up in a transit.

You've got nothing to worry about.

thanks guys i'm 17 travelling with 3 other 17 year olds ?

willl i still be able to attend ?

anyone ?

Dont think theres an age limit? if you do drink, just dont get so shit faced you need an ambulance the we will all most likely be in trouble.

lol i won't thats not my scene tbh ... having a few drinks and enjoying myself is my route. Happened in past experiences and i have learnt from it. never again.

I see myself as a "responsible drinker" if thats possible ?

It's a family show so all ages are welcome.

There will be rules at the show and people who break them will be asked to leave by Clubpolo/billing staff.

thanks for clarifying that for me i was getting worried i wouldn't be able to :paranoid:

thats coo, no reaking rules on my watch i want to make it a memorably first time at the show :0

i'm sure it won't be my last.

I'm glad you started this thread tbh Dreaker because i'm in exactly the same boat as you.

17 / 18 by then, Polo, first show = worried.

But by the sounds of it, its just turn up in you Polo (whether its modded or not) and have a chilled out weekend in Northampton with loads of other VW fans if i'm correct?

Sounds mint to me!

Just wondering, How many cars do you guesstimate to be there?

Cheers, Charlie

You'll be fine.

Your idea of the show is spot on. A chance to get together and have a chilled weekend and meet people.

I think there was 250+ cars back in '07, less last year so let's see if we can make it more.

i looked on billings website a while back and it said they dont allow groups of people camping if they are under 21 ...... dont know if it would be diffreint if i was with club polo, have been meaning to ring them up to ask them but still not got round to it........................... :ninja:

Not sure on that. Wasnt a problem last year iirc. It may refer to normal camping (I.E not shows) but I'd ring up and check.

thats ok CHARLESBERG sounds like we are in the sme boat :/

have a had good comments back from people  just sounds like a niced relaxed weekend, although i do want my car to be dropped before the show its just getting the £££'s together.

wow :o that many cars ? i didn't think there would be that many.

i really can't wait for this show see youa ll there :D

Not sure on that. Wasnt a problem last year iirc. It may refer to normal camping (I.E not shows) but I'd ring up and check.

i think it does apply to normal camping , if you could find out would be great :-)

would help very much :)

Considering we have over 22,000 users, 250 cars is rubbish! Complete gridlock would be ace haha. I'll find out about the age limit.

very true :/ still, 250+ cars will keep me intrigued for thw whole weekend :)

thanks.
