VR6 would be sweet 8-)

how old are u by the way dude?

VW Bora 130 PD TDi Highline - Got a thing for diesel's and VW's

Toyota Starlet GT Turbo (maybe a Glanza V) - Always loved these.

Nissan 200sx S13 - Drift!

VW Polo MK3 G40 - Since I have a 1.3 Cl, wouldn't mind a G40. :)

Personally it'd be one of them for me.

328 sport :D watch out for the nikasil engine tho

I'd have a 1300 G40 Lupo!! Give it 10 years and I'll mnake one!

I'm 19 mate 2 years ncb, and i know its random but there all sweet cars that i cant make my mind up on  I'm swaying towards vr6 but the petrol will be :smoke: I've got 6.5-7K

wouldnt bother with a VR as the only good point is the sound, ibiza cupra 1.8t?

Unless you are willing to spend some dolla on a mint S13 I would only reccomend it as a second car.

Sick of spannering on the bloody things.

^^ what are the comon faults?

When they start knocking on a bit you get the usual tired problems, one week its a split boost pipe, then it might be a coil pack or a sensor. you might develop turbo problems, they have about a million rubber bushes everywhere which when they start to go are a pain to replace. The tailgates always rust through under the spongey boot spoiler. Head gasket failure seems remarkably common when they have been messed with. You have to be careful welding the sills because you can set fire to the wiring harness inside lol.

The SR18 engine has a weak bottom end and the SR20 has a weak top end. On the SR18 if you rev it too high for too long the oil dosent return to the sump quick enough and it goes a bit tits up.

I doubt they are any worse than any other turbo jap car of that age, but all examples I have messed with have been just usual 90,000 mile cars. I dare say there are plently out there that have been cherished and are much better.

328CI

How can you actually say that?

Sub 7s to 60, 150 mph, 25 to 35 mpg, generally leather all round, electric everything, great brakes, in fact, the only BAD point about a standard VR6 is the soft springs!

With 7k to spend I'd get a Bora TDI and something else, or save some money and get something cheap. Get a very good 328i Sport for a couple of grand.

The Bora TDi is a slow and dull family saloon/repmobile in comparison to other cars you've listed,i just dont understand where you're going with this.

Id postpone getting a new car until you've got some idea of what sort of car you want.

With such a random list,i cant suggest anything.

Focus RS, can you get a decent one for 7K though?

id chip and play with it of course :D but the vr6 sounds good so far?

s14 tbh...

If its a daily, Mk3 VR6, or the Mk2 16v GTI.

If its just a fun car, Mk3 G40, or the Glanza (although Glanza's still seem so overpriced.)
