to change it you pop the center cap off and undo the bolt there and it just comes off. simple.

i have a boss on mine but dont think its the one for a polo as it dosent fit when i tried to change it , even tho the bloke i got it off swore it would fit :-( or i am doing something stupid

neway i paid £40 for it and if i sell would like to see my money back

I'll have a think, need to sort the tank first before buying anymore bits. :(

But am interested.

Just still need to see what else I'd need to fit the thing...

Mines still in the "build" stage lol, but here's couple of pics. Will start a build thread soon as the weather gets bit better and i've got my GT square running how i want it for the summer.

Tomorrow; spacing out those rear wheels, scrubbing a tad, spray the VW badge black, de badge the boot by taking off the 'polo' and 'coupe' badges. Clean the thing, big style, maybe remove the plates for the new ones to arrive.

Oh && by the way; it is the tank thats leaking. :(

Image0064.jpg

Blimey, i thought i looked young

Looking good mate

Keep those updates coming

Gunna think of some other things to do to mine now ;)

Spaced the wheels out by 5mm on the rear but you wouldn't tell, and gave it a clean.

Never got chance of fitting the new shocks...

But, fuel tank is on order, so they'll be put on when thats fitted - Not looking forwards to it tbh.

Miss it already!

Better news though, booked my first lesson on my birthday - 1st May. Yay! :-D

its just the light i tihnk, you can kinda tell its black if you know it is, if you know what i mean ha.

not sure what to do with mine, if i manage to find the right colour paint, i may try and fill the holes with something, until then i guess the badge is gunna have to go back on

That's exactly what am doing, getting ahold of the paint is easy; just going through the time to block it up.

++ not right sure what to use...

i was thinking maybe put something behind the hole, like a strip of plastic, then just smooth over, so it doesnt go all the way through ha, just not sure what material would be good enough to stay
