Test Fitted My New Wheels

Featured Replies

test fitted my new wheels today as my last 3 black squarebacks have all been clones of each other  , running the enzo cups and 165/65/14 tyres which dont really get the power down, but since i bought some 256 brakes the enzos dont fit! :-( so it forced me to find an altenative...

so since this heck is my most oem one yet i though some oem wheels were in order, i wanted to keep it looking like just a clean wee standard polo (as thats half the fun), stay on 14s and didnt want to spend major money so chose these mk2 golf/rocco wheels.

so all opinions welcome!

looks bit silly in the pics as no weight on the suspension, but i think some 175/50s and a 1Deg camber on the back and it should look quite good.......

They look minty fresh Richard, nice one, are they new from VW or an old set refurb'd. They'll look top.

thanks for the comments guys! cant wait to get the tyres on to see it sitting down right and what it looks like, will either make it or break it.

yeah they are new ones as getting a old set straightened, sandblasted and powdercoated worked out roughly the same price - only £10 in it!

martin the wee blank plates are obsolite I'm afraid, they pop up on ebay now and then they are for passats i believe. they do CL, GTX, Wolfsberg castle ones too. I'm hunting for some CL ones for my loon but no luck so far seem to go for £3 - £12. there is a red/black version which is slightly larger for golfs i believe on their side trim they are still available!

thanks peter!

1 has arrived, the other is still on back order (2weeks now) so hopefully it should appear.

Nice one, the steels look classic with the oem paint and caps. Always thought GT steels would look good like this too.

Nice jack, It's a sealey one isn't it? Didn't recognise Ross without baseball cap.
