I take it the lower the ET the better then? I've got a set of 13x7 ET 10's that I'd quite like to run G40 brakes under. Think it'll work?

at the mo I'm planning refurbing some 6x13 classics , iv got mk1 gti brakes which same as g40 i think n they dont fit tho iv heard of people takeing a skim of the caliper with an angle grinder if you dont want spacers haha

I'm running 13 by 7 Alleycats and i have Mk2 golf disk's and calipers and with and ET of -7 they clear the brake calipers by around 1-2mm and my disk's just fit inside the wheel

it depends on the pad carrier - g40 ones had an added bar - but you can use std mk3 /late mk2 carriers

I used an angle grinder and 5mm spacers to get my old ATS classics to fit.
