Just been to my local scrappy for a look around and fell in love with a mk2 Fiesta VR2. It was lovely! Flared arches, alloys and all. Didn't seem to have anything major wrong with it. Shame Also there was a mk3 coupe there so I got myself a new front grill to black out the badge :-D

my uncle used to have a mk1 xr2 ragtop was amaze bet its worth a small fortune now

i used to hate xr3i`s and rs turbo`s but now i look at them now that the 90`s is over with and noone bothers making them look shit and say yea i like them, but only if there unmolested though

i think its same with mk2 gtis aswell the 90s was bad to them and if they come out the other side un bodykitted they look great

but i have a thing for boxy cars :s lol

nippy? no, pritty slow for what they are really, my old one was pritty nippy for an xr2 (owned 2 xr3i's easily) but got hammered by my mates 1.4 SR nova. CVH engines ain't impressive as standard unless it has a turbo bolted to it in my experience.

People decribe Polo GT's as nippy so I'm sticking with my previous comment haha

i can't really comment as i had my XR2 about 6-7 years before my GT so can't compare them with any accuracy, but my GT was without a doubt quicker than my mums XR3I cabby she had when i had the GT, not saying it was faster, but definitely quicker.

What engines did the XR2s have?

1.6 carb isnt it?

I know 2 guys who are currently sticking a 1.8T from a Skoda Octavia VRs into one...

Fail. check the mirrors out just ruins what could be a very well modded car in my opinion.
