ok so i have just bought a mk2 golf but I'm sure other seats must fit straight in i.e polo 6n seats or mk3 golf seats am i right? or completly wrong ? i hate just searching mk2 golf seats as there isnt much variety, so what other seats fit straight in with no modifications please:)

yep (rears will fit with abit of cutting i expect) and if you cut the runners off, you can weld them to any other seat so they will fit, had recaros from an RSturbo in my mk3 polo at onepoint

polo was nice but fancy messing around with the old mk2 mate :p as i have never had one

what sort of golf is it? if its a low spec one then golf gti seats would be an upgrade, if it is a gti then just about the only standard vw seat that would fit straight in and be an upgrade (albeit not much of an upgrade) would be the corrado front seats.

mk3 golf ones go in if you cut n weld one rear leg ..
