The new ride, Emma. MK2 saloon

Featured Replies

Goldie has cost me more than 100 times what she's worth just keeping her on the road, never mind the cost of the mods i've done (or them wheels  ). The black hides all her sins, trust me when you look close up you'll soon find all the rott, and thats just the bodywork, the floor is like a patchwork quilt of weld upon more weld! She needs a whole new floor and half of the bodywork. All the panels are obsolete from vw so your best bet is pattern parts or fabricate your own. I recon you should definatly go for it, you've come this far afterall 8-)

Are the rear arches on the saloon the same as a coupe?

Think I'm going to have to go round a few scrapyards with the grinder and just cut all of the repair panels out

Hopefully ill find a saloon and grab whatever I can fit in the MK3 haha

I considered doing it to my red mk3 loon at one point, but then decided it was too expensive for what the car was worth, being smashed up and all.

And cheers for the comment on the wheels, i love them to bits, so happy i got them

you'll find the little switch cuts the live between the ignition module and the coil, basic form of immobaliser, seeing this make me glad of what I've got. my loon has its own issues with rust but noting terminal passed mot today no advisories.

Had a change of heart on the engine!

I'm going to put a RS6 engine up its arse!

572 horse powerz going to 4 wheels, all coming from a 5.0 V10 twin turbo  - and that's without modding :p

If only hahaha!

Now Breaking!

Had a good luck over it today. And I think I have being lying to my self a lot

Lets face it, the shell is too far gone. There isn't a way on earth I could afford to even G40 this and get it on the road. Its taking up valuable space and I want the engine out of it :ninja: And the arch covers :p

So, any of you who where after the hard to get items like rear bumper, rear lights, rear boot, rear screen, rear bench etc... Now is your chance ;)

Keeping everything in the engine bay mate

That gearbox I'm keeping as a spare

Ashame it's turned out to be something bigger than you had planned for, especially for £60!!! :(

Will the front and rear bumpers fit my breadvan bud? :)

Front bumper has gone and the rear bumper wont.

Its made up for its cost anyways now i think. 3 of the tires on it got me to Germany, then Cornwall then back home again. And they took a massive beating around the ring

Some of the engine bits I'm using for when i do the GT + Bike carb conversion on the MK3.

It will pay for its self I'm sure in parts alone.

I have EXACTLY the same car as that as my new project. Paid £88 for it! Only done 57k. Same colour and trim as yours. Sorry to see you're breaking her. Could you email/text me your number as me and my little brother need some bits. My email is lordlocksmith@hotmail.co.uk. Cheers
