Police Didn't pull me over

Featured Replies

I spoke to a police officer (family friend) last year who said they give 10% + 2mph on top of the limit for speedo inaccuracy. He said a gatso does the same but that doesn't mean you should go pushing it just in case.

Another note, if they use a mobile camera and it hasn't been calibrated that day then the evidence wont stand up in court. Because most people dont know this then they tend to get away with the whole thing and people cough up straight away, worth a mention to the officer if any of you are caught.

They are well aware of this, given that most (if not all?) mobile cameras are operated by safety camera partnerships the police don't actually have anything to do with the camera. The people employed by the camera partnership will have plenty of time to calibrate their cameras before heading out.

May have come out a bit wrong. By most people i meant general public and not that they rarely calibrate them, as i said its worth a mention just in case they haven't.

your going to jail.

it was mate,

and it was me flashing my hazards at you on fullwell road, black mk6 golf ;)

If they're doing you by post, its usually 10 days until you'll know for sure.

i asked an ex city of london copper.

Your gonna get bummed in the shower by a big bald bloke called Julian  Joke!

i'd say they couldnt of given a shit what you were doing. Probably there for visible deterant.

I know it's only slightly related but my brother got caught doing 86 and fined w/ 3 points on license. Turns out anything over 84mph will be caught by the police with speed guns on the bridges of the dual/motorway.

He appealed or something, and they explained it to him, that he was 2mph over the threshold for the dual carraige way and that particular type of speed check.

I wouldnt worry mate, I was checking my speedo against my sat nav a few days ago and 85 on the dials is 70 on the sat nav lol.

I am running 195 45 14 tyres however, which have thrown it out a fair bit!

i got pulled over 42 in a 30 but was let off because i was driving fast but safe and said i was going to collage at the time

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!

as for you panda i wouldnt worry mate you ll be fine!!!!!!!!!

Bollocks!

I reckon you'll be alright.

I once followed a blue Volvo up to 110 on a duel carriageway because he cut me up with no indicators, found out it was a UC when he flashed the blues at me so i backed off....left a nice stain in my undies i tell you!

Saw him sat waiting at the next sliproad, and as i was about to duck behind a lorry he looked over at me so i just nodded at him.

So yeh, they are humans too.....some of them.

Woooah hold your horses keyboard warriors.

I've had the same situation. I was pushing 45 ish in a 30 late for college and got pulled. Just explained and everything (no other cars were on the main road I was going down) I was speaking to him for a bit, and got off with a warning. Left him with a thanks, and have a nice day and went on my way to college.

Don't take things for bullshit that you aren't 100% sure of the facts about.

I was at some lights a few months back, it was dark and couldn't see much out of my back window because of the tint on the back window. Then when the green light came on i was talking to my girlfriend in the car and missed the green light, so someone beeped at me. Then i just sped off not doing more the 40 in a 30. Turns out it was a cop i got pulled over and said i'm sorry and he just let me on my way
