Hi,

I removed all the plastic trim from my mk2 coupe s to clean and get some colour back into them, but I've now hit a problem. I want to put them back on the car but the flange is larger than standard pop rivets. I don't want to screw them on, and I've tried screwfix for some large flanged rivets without luck, can someone help?

vw sell the proper rivets funnily enough

I've got a set of those correct VW rivets up for grabs if you still need them.

well there you go you learn something new everyday, i've never tried to put them back on, i usually bin them.

I didn't even think about asking VW... but they did have them in. 37p each, whilst GSF were 30p each. Both were pre painted black. Now all I need to do is go count how many I need :)
