I've managed to find some 8"s that fill the arches so its all good .. Silly low offset FTW !

Should be something similar to a audi 80's as they have inserted shocks aswell mate .. Nopthing classy just means i dont have to lob several srings off my 80mm kit . I've alreaddy got lowering topcaps on as is aswel ..

Started work on the loon today getting it ready to go back on the road .

Mainly maintenece this week thaught i would add the work I'm undertaking to this thread .

Got a few new bits and pieces aswell ..

Picking up new Disk's and Pads tommorow took the old pads out to take to the shop as i have vw11 calipers and dont know the exact pads i need . On inspection as the car has been sat outdoors since edition38 2009 i found that alot had to be done to tidy things up ..

Car was off the road due to several reasons really ..

Became unemployed so couldnt afford it then when i could it wasnt really practical .

Eventually I'm in a situation and the weather is better so i thaught its time to sort it out ..

Looking forward till i get it back on the road aswell to be fair .. Going to be a weekend car as lukily i get a lift in the week to work .. lift share ftw

Work continues after a heavy night on the Jager Jerry's last night so i have a right headache ! I would so advise 2 shots of Jager 1 Shot of sailor jerry's & Coke its soo damn nice and obviously gets you on a level !

Started stripping the caliper down as the piston was weatherd .. Needed a good clean .. Clamped the brake line and removed the brake nipple (which involved a blowtorch ! ) Damn brake nipples are shite on old polo's

I have got to the point of putting the brake assemebely back together i have the right sized pads but for some obscure reason the caliper will nto fit ovet the vented disk's and pads ..

Is the piston fully inserted into its barrel in this piccy ?? Doesnt seam to want to go any furthar in (May be broken??)

This is how the pad / disk's sit .. they sit perfectly so I'm asuming this is correct .. ??

Its a pain having non standard brakes ! argh !

Have you fitted a new dust boot onto the piston? If not, then that may be why it was full of shite.

Piston does look fairly home there though. There were two disc thicknesses on the vented 239's, dependant on caliper, can't remember for sure which ones which, but i have a feeling the "later" pattern i.e. the type you have are the thicker of the two?

Pads look awfully thick mind.. maybe cause the one's I fitted last were second hand

Another day complete and a few more bits and pieces to do ...

Found out why the brakes were being a pain there are 2 diffrent thicknesses to the vented disk's therefore 2 diffrent brake pad thicknesses available i got the wrong pads ..

New Fuel lines after the others were destroyed getting beached on a speedbump ..

Lights & Number plate lights , tinting spray needed for all red rears (Best place to purchase?) ...

There 14" so will fill the arches more for a bit of a better stance aswell ..

Got a set of 2 10" and a set of 2 9"

Going to send them off to be sand blasted and then paint them .. still unsure on the colour though probably alpine white .. Any ideas ??
