Gloss black is the only way.

I say have them in an old English/off white colour. Then get a couple rolls of baby coloured rim tape (yellows/blues/greens etc) and detail them with it when ever you fancy standing out a little bit more :-)

Baby/pale colours are "IN" this season, just watch

I was thinking this aswell however i cant help but try and go a little diffrent it seams to simple for me although as your saying would work a treat .. Colour gives the impression of more dish .. Maybee Gloss black centres and alpine lips .. hmmm

Here is a piccy i have just been sent that someone took at Edition38 Show last year .. Has fully made me want to sort the car as soon as possible it needs to be done !

So i have just tried the wheels on for size and they should with a little bit of spacing do the job nicely ..

I'm sending a cpl off to be straightend as they have to be perfect and the lips have very small flat spots in them (shouldnt be a problem for a guy down the road to sort out )

Here are some piccy's

The front will need spacing 30/35mm

The rear will need spacing 20/25mm aswell

Kinda thinking i should of got 11's and 10"s now ahh well i can make these work and there is enougth dish thats for sure :)

A few questions for people iff you can help ...

Were can i buy hubcentric spacers or 20-25mm spacers for a 4x100 VW?

Were can i buy longer bolts to accomodate the fact i have spacers ?

Anyone know what 14" tyres are available in 215 width or even 235 ?

Best place to buy light tinting spray , Red for rear and black to darken the fronts ?

loving this car ! you can get the tint spray from ebay just type in (savage tint spray) i payed bout 10£ for mine inc p&p get a pic up of your decks

Those tyres would be perfect may try and find sme with a slightly wider profile as a 225 is still going to be stretched onto a 10" wheel and it would be ridiculously uncomfy using a 40 profile

Definatly going to get some for the rear without a doubt . Its harsh that i could prob do with larger spacers at the front ... although the arches have been made so there is loads of room for full lock so that wont be an issue can slam it over them nicely

Ahh cant wait to get tires on the wheels after i have refurb'd them need to get some alpine white paint from Vw in a tin .. Going to take my time on them want them to be perfect .

I hope i order the right size spacers , Got a set of 20mm to try and then i can have a gander from there ..

how much did u get the wheels for? think you should go crackle black, that would make them look amazing.

Wheels cost £200 mate a bargin price as they have the best weld on the banding i have seen clearly done by a company that have done many before .

Crackle black would be nice but i think white wheels would suit my car so much and will exentrate the dish to make them look even wider .. :)

My shed being the best you have seen so far , Mate I'm touched .. Loads of work needs doing in my eyes but i supose its slowly getting there hey :)

Go out and get yourself one mate there not that expensive iff you find one in the right place and a really easy to work on once you get to grips with them :)

Camskill have got 7 225's in stock but there gonna look a bit much on a 10J and i have enougth arch to run wider tyres ..

They look good on 9's so the front will be ok just unsure on the rears .. Hopefully someone will know of something a bit wider for the rears ??

I really think they stretch awfully as tyres, it almost makes the tyre profile look larger than it should be because of the rim protection!

the dunlops seem to fit better for not fitting tyres as it were the sidewall looks way better.....are these as stupidly priced as the 205/40s, i found them to be very dear??

Toyo T1R's are the only tyres i have found in the UK and at £60 a corner which is reasonable i think ..

Havnt even located a set of Dunlop's , When i ring tyre dealers they sound gone out on the phone when I'm asking them for 14" tyres wider than 215
