6N2 front & rear speaker sizes

Featured Replies

Want to know what size speakers my car has as 3 of them now don't work (my fault ), the car is a 6N2 3 door and it also has the tweeters on the A pillars.

2 on front A pillar

2 on front doors

2 at rear

Any help will be much appreciated.

Cheers

  • yes mate thats right, you will find that with most component sets you get the individual tweeter and a variety of casings to house it. So you could mount the tweeter in the existing position by not us

I also need to know this as i want to upgrade my door speakers.

Please please please, does any one know????????????

your help will be much apreciated.

Thanks.

16.5 cm. Tweeter sizes won't matter that much, as most will fit in the designated spot.

I recommned infinity kappa components, small tweeters aswel will definately fit in the gap. Or you could custom make some tweeter surrounds in your mirror like I will be doing in the summer.

I'm thinking of purchasing these ones for my 6N2

I'm thinking maybe the tweeters can be taken out of its caseing to fit into the 6N2 tweeter caseing!!!

what do you think????

For that price your looking at, why not look at some focal or hertz components. Much better quality and for a similar price too.

I know the vibe ones do not have a too big magnet and the ones you are showing seem like theyhave large magnets.

i'm not sure how much space i have in the door????

i need to change my speakers too but wernt sure how to get the front ones out? also i dont think mine has rear speakers or they have been removed?

thanks for any help in advance

Not all the mk5's have rear speakers. Mine don't.

To get the front door speakers out, remove the door panel, 2 screws behind grab handle insert which pops out, and one screw near the tweeter cover.

Then there should be some screws holding the speaker in, un do them, then cut the clip off leaving you with just 2 wires, brown and blue and then attatch the new speaker.

To remove the tweeter, remove the grey tweeter cover whilst the door panel is removed.

There is quite a bit of space to be honest mate. This will help you, to gain more space you can build some custom pods out of your door with MDF rings.
