Is it Highline spec? Looks to be leather seats but may have been fitted afterwards. If it's a bog standard VR6 with leather seats around the average 120k miles then £1500 is a bit expensive really.

Ask about timing chains, tensioners and clutch history as that work will set you back not alot under 1k!

mk3's look full on shit as standard and 5 doors are an instant fail, seen a few 3 doors that had been modded and looked spot on but most of them had the vento front on rather than the gash golf front end.

plus contrary to what the hippys among us will try and tell you they do handle as bad as is commonly suggested. the only good thing about a vr6 is the noise and what a fucking noise it is, i hated mine, it was a disappointment in just about every way (power, handling, build quality ect, ect) but i would put up with all that shit again just to hear that VR hitting the limiter once more.

i'm trying so hard to keep the thought of a mk2 vr6 out of my head, but its been lingering for a while now and i have a spare mk2 golf shell sitting here tempting me
