was bored at work yesterday so thought id have a mooch on the old t'interent,

whilst having a mooch i came across a dragon green valver that took my fancy,

after a short think and a phone call to get an insurance quote id made my mind up i was having it,

so last night as soon i finished work me and Ricardo-mk3coupe went on a road trip to go and view it,

after a 2 hour journey and a 30 minute chat to the chap who owned it, i parted with my cash and had myself a new car biggrin.gif

will get pics and more detail a.s.a.p

took the polo for a service today and to have my new suspension fitted,

engine was burning oil, which i already knew and told the garage about before they looked at it but not getting it back until sometime next week! :(

the valve stem seals are on the way out so i got some new ones, took them with me and asked the garage to fit them for me,

then they phone an hour and a half later telling me its burning oil, so again i tell them i know and its the seals thats causing it but they say they want to strip it down and check it is definately that and nothing else,

phoned the garage at 4:55pm as hadnt heard from them all day and they say, oh well its still stripped being checked,

so to summarise, they had the car at 8:00am and at 4:55pm they tell me they're still looking at the head and seals?!

not best pleased its taken them a day to basically just to take the head off,

only reason i went to that garage is because it was recommended and i know a couple of the blokes there.

good job the west midlands meet isnt this sunday!

p.s i know I'm still missing pics of it but will get some up as soon i get it back

had a phone call from the garage today, few problems with the polo so wont be getting it back in time for sunday,

valve seals and piston rings need replacing,

problem with one of the injectors, broken or something, causing it to leak petrol,

big end needs work, not sure what exactly

crank case needs work, again not sure what kind of work, something about de-choking it?

fitting the new suspension has had to go on hold for a few weeks now

Was the engine burning oil or just breathing heavy?

All AFH engines breath heavy, its just a fact.

Sounds to me like you are being taken on a bit of a ride.

Nice one mate sorry to hear about your troubles looking forward to the piccys though :p

Bring out the violins, bad luck mate.
