swapped fuel pump over to the abf item, needed a bit of messing around, was hoping to just swap the sender but wasnt able to

dash came back out and dropped it off at clever flockers, dash is so much nicer once flocked

was running on standard ecu, then bought a chip for that, then changed my mind again and bought a megasquirt kit

got the soldering iron out and made a start

after a few hours

still have a few things to finish off with the megasquirt, but have put that to one side for the time being

bought a us spec rear bench, was just black leather but wanted it matching my salsa green colour concepts, took the backs off and took the leather to retro retrims for some tweaking

addition of some depo's really makes a difference to the front

decided to do this to the inlet

to match these (16 x 8j & 16 x 9j)

with the inlet off i thought why not take the rocker off and show that some paint

work started on the exhaust

strut brace went back on

dont have any pics of exhaust as i went along but has 200 cell sport cat and straight through middle and backboxes, wasnt sure whether to have the middle box but at the same time didnt want it too loud

tail pipe (axle stand is just propping exhaust up before welding hangers on)

i decided to buy this, eaton m62, wasnt sure if id have the space at the front of the engine for it, but thought i'll see how it goes

as the m62 pulley wasnt much smaller than the abf crank pulley, i bought a g60 68mm pulley and adapted it to fit the m62

front end came off again so i could see where i was going to put the m62

started mocking up a rough bracket just to hold the m62 so i could check clearances

mounted m62 and outcome was a little gutting with no available space for outlet pipework

decided to scrap the m62 idea

interior is now for sale and on the lookout for some cobra monaco pro seats and harnesses

need to take some more pictures of where I'm up to now but waiting for a sunny weekend

I started a kr on bike carbs then turboed it a few years back but cba finishing it off loool changed idea and went 20vt in the end.

so for the wiring I take it you used the mk3 golf loom and fuse box as at first I seen the late polo fuse box if not mistaken.

Yeah I swapped the loom and fusebox over to the golf ones, when I started it I didnt have a clue on the wiring side so I went with the logic of swapping the whole loom and fusebox over, that way it was just a case of plugging it all back in

Latest addition are polycarbonate windows, anyone know of the best stuff to use for bonding them in?

I used Tiger seal for the rear window but its not that good if I'm honest. I got autoglass out to fit rear quater windows and their mint. They primed round edge of windows in black and stuck them in for £40.

They're the ones from phil j and they're flat, I looked at a few myself but the closest to phil j's price was still double the price

Went on a bit of a road trip earlier, came away with these

ordered side mounts and harnesses as soon as I got home

Top seats them.

Side mounts and harnesses have now arrived, spent Saturday stripping the interior so it now consists of the dash and cobras, sunroof will also be coming out when I've found a blank that doesnt cost the same as a kidney, failing that made one, got a bit carried away with it so haven't got any pics yet.

Also discovered the bolt that makes sure the steering column doesnt seperate from the steering rack is missing and has been since before I bought the car

I'm unsure which way to go at the minute, it does keep crossing my mind, but i always end up going back to the idea of supercharging it, just love the whine from a supercharger, toyed with the idea of throttle bodies but for the setup id want it would cost similar to supercharging or turbo'ing it for much less of a gain
