Hey. i own a 6n2 1.0L. Bacicially, i went through a car wash the other day. And all of a sudden my engine just lost all power. It often does this when i get it very wet. And i get the ''Check'' light. But it always sorts itself out when it dries overnight. However this time it did not.

After a quick look (pulling out HT leads) i realised it was only firing on 2 cylinders. Anyway long story short i managed to limp home in 1st.

I've replaiced the HT leads, no difference, so i've ordered a new Distributor + taken the old one off. i'm pretty sure it is this as the casing was cracked like a bastard in the underside. But yeah, in my haste i lost track of which lead fits where. Has anyone got a picture of anything of any help just to show me?

Firing order is 1342. Turn the engine to tdc and look to see which way the rotor arm is facing, that's number 1. looking at the dizzy towards the rotor arm, it will turn anti clockwise, so wherever 1 is you have to go anticlockwise with the rest of the leads in firing order.. it's easy really.

my fireing order is 1243, what engine code is it? are they the same as AUU engine? (mk3 1.0l?)

Basically, the leads are long and short accordingly. Use common sense and use the longest for the furthest away etc and you should be on to a winner. This is how I did mine on tesco car park when a friend thought it would be funny to pull them out =/
