I cant believe these so called intelligent people talking about modifying cars as if its somthing thats been invented by kids in the last few years.

I dont care if they ban nitrous full stop, its not really much of a mod is it. I'm glad its all focused on nitrous and not just modified cars.

i never said it was

No, but Neil did and I was correcting him!

lol, whoops

it works by cooling the air going into the engine doesnt it?

but its formula is N2O, one nitrogen 2 oxy?

surely compressed oxygen is explosive?

not arguing just interested

Thing is the phrase "moddified car" is very very bland. If I take a standard brand new VW Polo and put a superiour make of tyres on it compared to the standard items then I will have moddified that car. Even though on the outside it still looks standard.

I believe that out of everyone who has a car over 3 years old in the country little or none of them can actually say their car is how it was when it rolled out the factory. There will be a none standard part fitted to most cars on the street.

surely compressed oxygen is explosive?

Its actually two nitrogen particles to one oxygen particle

Compressed oxygen is only explosive if mixed with a fuel (petrol) and a heat source (spark).

On its own its pretty much harmless.

ha ha this is the biggest joke i`ve heard from the goverment yet . not a chance of this going anywhere , and if it does i`m leaving britian for good

is it even the government that are suggesting it tho? so far all i've heard is the AA going on about it. you's think the government would have slightly more pressing things to be doing at the min than worrying about young drivers although if they think it will go down well with 'middle England' then they will probably just do it to try and win votes.

pher the AA should just shut their trap and carry on fixing motors at the side of the road

ha ha to the government this is most pressing as its money in the bank for them ha ha, they aint got no chance of trying to win votes off middle england , my dad`s car modded , mum`s car modded , lots of older people i know have a set of wheels at least , and a few with mad big bhp cars .

i do think that modds need to be propperly monitered (ie correct fitments & safety) , when i got suzie (mk2 coupe) she was propper dodge , spring cups upside down amongst other things

but it still comes back to the same thing if they fixed the roads (which are dangerous) and trained driver to control a car , the amount of accidents would be reduced . some of the roads round me have massive holes in them from the snow and that , hit a few of them when coming round corners at night , not having it but it was still sketchy

chemistry lesson on clubpolo woop woop

The AA blokes excuse on that video was drivers are more likely crash in their first year of driving what about people who been driving years if anything id say my modified car handles a dam sight better than standard trying to make it sound like modified cars are just ready to fall apart and kill everyone what a cock end, just the same as chucking a fast car at a young driver i.e. that bmw m5 and look what happend there gonna ban people from driving fast cars aswell are they? :retard:

yeah but neil is a ladyboy loving cock sucker so no one pays any attention to what he says.

I cringed on that radio clip when they said they had a max power bloke but what a top guy, good points well presented.

8-)

I have moddified my cars for years. And the 1st things a responsible modder does is uprate brake, tyres and suspension. Then its the engine. If the AA think this is being irresponsable they should compare a car I've built with the standard production car. I know there are a few bad apples who spoil it for us all by driving like prats. And not adding safety items to there modded cars.

yeah because nitrous oxide abusers make up such a massive proportion of drivers on our road.

i was the same tbh but he put a good argument across and had his fact sorted ready to throw at them, bit pissed off they dodged his stats about company reps and the like being responsible for 26% of fatal accidents on the road but imo that show was only ever meant to put one side of the argument across.

I AGREE with one fact.

People who have a passion for their and in modifying it, are actually more careful drivers than the average driver.

I love the way the AA representative suddenly changes his tune as soon as the Max Power guy makes that point.

That Max Power guy is a legend.

He'll be pleased to hear it!

That radio clip pissed me off.

That idiot sating that the max power dude was talking a load of rubbish.. ARRGGHHHHH!!! haha

What a fucking idiot. He really has no idea

I agreed with everything the max power dude said tbh. People who modify there cars generally take more care when driving. as the last thing they want to do is crash.

Have listened to this all day and its rubbish (even my bro, who doesn't give a monkeys about cars reckons its rubbish :-D )

Typical government trying to group everyone together

Its the small percentage of idiots who rag round in dodgy modified (or sometimes properly modified) cars that give the whole scene a bad name

Its the soft squidgy bit behind the wheel that causes problems, not the car

What's really annoyed me today is all these so called experts from the aa and what-not, really couldn't tell their arse from their elbow in terms of mods

Agree with the max power bloke, till I started playing with the car, I drove like a dick, now I've calmed down because of the hard work and money that's gone into both my cars

If the goverment do say they're banning modifing cars, i'm gonna take my dad up on his offer of moving to canada, we can't do jack shit anymore

It's just a proposal by the AA, as far as I know it's got no government involvement or backing.

till I started playing with the car, I drove like a dick

What, you didnt indicate at junctions? haha

Sorry, cant imagine you driving like a loony Jon!

nitrous nis legal if u declare it , see clip , my freind has it on his cav turbo all declared all legal

Nitrous is not illegal, nor is it flammable.
