Quite a bit of work I would imagine. Why not just put in a 1.4 16v? they are only 10bhp less, and weigh less.

Or even better a 1.6 16v from the 6n2 gti? 125bhp?

did think that but got a mk3 golf gti just sitting there doing nothing

Fair enough, free engine I supose.

Its not a 5 door in a dark blue/purple colour is it by anychance?

5 door yes but no its black

8v sounds better i recon. think you should mod the engine 1st though. lol

gonna be quite alot of work as the golf engine is a tall block whereas the polo engine is a small block, meaning the 2.0 lump would sit too high up to close the bonnet or too low down and have no ground clearance. You'd also lose steering and braking efficency with the heavier lump up front.

It can be done tho but its abit impractical so people dont bother.

yes because the 2l 8v weights 3.1 tonz

i very much doubt you would notice any difference in handling from the weight of the engine although you would wanna upgrade the brakes due to it having more power than the standard engine.

do an eaton conversion on the 2.0 8v.
