I've just put my coilovers on, dropped them down as far as i can. Looked smooth. Set off driving to hear thew worst sound. on further inpection we notice the insides of my wheels/tyres are catching the springs. Any suggestions on what i can do about it? Its been suggested that i need camber bolts???

Front, cant put spacers on because then the outside of the wheel will rub on the arches. Strange thing is, i dont think lowering it has anything to do with it. If i wound the coils up it would still rub. Before the coils went in the springs only came half way down. I've been told its possibly the camber. Has no one else had the problem?

Scrap that, lowering it is defo the prob. So any ideas what i need to do??

have you had you are tracking done, after the lowering, and what wheels u running?

lowered( right down, not entirely sure how much, were assuming 100mm) yesterday and made it undrivable. I'm running 15" momos on 195/50. Inside of the tyre(not wheel) is catching the springs.

sounds abit like camber, can u notice the difference in the camber? asin are the wheels angling in like ... // \\.

Just take the front wheels off, undo the two camber nuts so you can move the hub in or out and just pull it as far out towards you as you can and tighten them up.

Being that low its going to be as near as dammit the right setting and you should solve the rubbing issues.

Just get 3mm spacers lol.

Get your camber properly setup as you will just have more problems in the long run. Tyre wear being the main one. If the polo's are camber adjustable, what i mean is you dont need to buy camber arms etc, then its only about £50.

we were really caerfull in making sure we pulled the camber out as far we could. There really isnt room for much movement on my car. Its an n reg 8v. everything is basic. I do have some 5 mm spacers but with them on the other side of the wheel rubs on the arches. I've been told I'm gonna have to go for some stretch. will that work?

What about camber bolts? will they work? the ones on mine a standard bolts.

This was always my plan, i had tracking issues before lowering but i knew i was changing suspension and needed to get it done after anyway so i planned for that and a camber check at the same time.

Right, i believe the question i need te answer to is this....

what size wheels and tyres will fit on a 6n lowered 100mm without rubbing on either springs or arches?
