1991 Passat CL 2.0 8v with 4 speed auto

94k miles, Mot until July 09 and tax for 4 months.

Exterior:

Alpine white with vinyl Black roof, VR6 rear lights with US plate tub, front US-spec plate holder, clear front indicators, original CL side repeater blanks. New front and rear OEM bumpers with front foglights. Rolled arches all round, delocked passenger handle. B3 TYP private plate worth over £450.

No rust anywhere, no dings or scratches, all stone chips fixed before E38 2008. You won’t find a cleaner more solid B3.

Chassis:

FK coilovers done about 10k, in perfect condition, offering an awesome ride with great handling for this kind of car!

Interior

Full black leather with rear armrest, matching black load cover, Grant 3-spoke steering wheel on 1-off custom boss. Black carpet. No rips, burns, bolster wear or damage. Rear load bed in perfect condition and super clean. Original VW stereo for retroness! (can supply a decent JVC CD headunit for the right price)

Engine:

2.0 8v, 4-speed gearbox with sport and economy modes, full custom stainless exhaust otherwise factory standard. Excellent running order, uses no oil or water and pulls hard. Serviced two weeks ago - oil change, filters changed, new plugs too.

30ish mpg around town, 40s on a long run. Sounds great, cruises really well.

Brief history:

Car was imported to the UK from new and used as a marshal’s car on a US airbase, where it was stored in a hanger= no rust!

It was then sold as military surplus to the legendary Lesta, who did the work and took it from standard to Edition 38 ten of the best winner. It then went into hiding for a couple of years, where it was stored in a heated garage, then I bought it back in July and treated it to new rear brakes, cables, ignition switch and a service, which is all that it needed to make it run perfectly and fly through the last MOT with no advisories.

Regular viewers may note that this was up for sale on here back in June with no MOT for £3500, since then it’s had new brakes, steering wheel, ignition switch, full detail, and obviously now has MOT and tax.

Wheel wise, in the pics the car is rocking 8 and 9x15" Schmidt TH line 3-pc splits. But now rocking some Porsche 928's as pictures at the very bottom. Would happily sell with the Porsche wheels for £2200ono

Or, you can bring your own wheels and drive the Passat away for £1900ono. Slap a set of tasty rims on and you've got yourself an awesome bus which will easily compete at shows. Choice is yours!!

Could possibly be interested in a PX with Mk2/3 Golf or B5 passat, but not an estate.
