Hmmm where did you get that picture from?!

off here its from some meet. Fat setup innit?

i want to do it 2 ma 6n  so bad?

get a manifold made for the bike carbs

get an mh code dizzy and engine loom (found on later hydro head coupe s)

remove existing inlet manifold and injection, remove ecus and engine loom

rebuild with the new parts and sort out throttle and choke linkages

buy some sort of fuel pump and fuel regulator and connect fuel lines.

Probably will be a lot harder to do if the car is a genuine valver due to the importance of the ecu and imobaliser. Most people convert AFH engines to carbs when fitting to earlier cars due to the fact it is a less complex option

The hard for me is getting it to fit in the engine bay :?

But it looks worth it :-)

It works a treat mate.

. Its a 1.4 16v on yamaha fazer 600 carbs. Goes like flip to be honest and amazingly good on fuel. Used £15 yesterday from Hull to Elsecar = 65 mls each way. Its the way forward . I used to have a 1.8 16v and it wasnt as lively as the polo engine.

MODS = ENGINE

CUSTOM GEARBOX MOUNT i.e golf and polo mount fabbed together.

POLO MK2 ignition loom and module and dizzy

POLO MK3 lift pump

LOW PRESSURE REGULATOR

CUSTOM INLET BY ME + SILICONE HOSE

8P POLO GEARBOX

MK3 POLO SUMP AND OIL PICKUP PIPE + DIPSTICK TUBE.

A TRIP TO THE OLD FAITHFUL BOGG BROS FOR A CARB SETUP.

Spen, why did you use the mk3 sump?

saw yours at elsecar spen, very nice setup you got there, i'm currently thinking about doin something similar to my mk1 golf clipper, would you recomend removing the 1.8 engine then and using a 1.4 polo?

Cheers Tom

CHEERS MATEY, If youve already got a big block engine i'd go for a KR or 9A lump on bike carbs as the engine mount on the chassis is in a gifferent place, but yeh the 1.4 16v is exellent, if you can be arsed to do the welding.
