seems like insurance has gone up alot in the past few years, I'm 20, with 3 years no claims, fully comp with churchill, on my mk3 coupe genesis 1.3 in my own name for just £330!.. I'm definately happy :)

Churchill mate cheaper than 2k anyways, got my mk3 coupe for £1600 fuly comp, infact it was cheaper fully comp too :S, erm also add some named driviers on to it like your nan or somin, people with some good no claims. i have started to modify it by putting exhaust on it etc, but i haven't declared it.

lol at this topic , heres for some of you 17yr olds , I'm 19 had my license 4months my car is a mk4 Polo1.4 i have it in a Garage(locked) i have 0 yrs no claims/no disqalifications or smashe's , and i cant get anything cheaper than£1900 and thats with Endsliegh YOUNG drivers... if anyone knows of anywere better pls hook it up!

oh yes just to add on to all this , I'm from WINDERMERE 0 car crime lol

and its also standerd completely on 3rd party frie and theft

VW PASSAT (1991) 2L - £1500

FIAT STRADA ABARTH 130 2L - £1900

TOYOTA STARLET GT TURBO - £2100

All with Admiral

18 years old. Held my license for over a year now.

I pay just under £700 for my 1988 1.2 bready polo. With me as the main driver and both my mum and dad insured aswell.

Used to pay £900 for me on a Rover 200 1.4

elephant, admiral or bell, all the same company and will beat everyones elses quote for young drivers, i was insured on a toyota glanza turbo when i was 19 and for only 1200, there so much cheaper than anyone else

I'm 17 , live in a alright place, doing a full time apprenticeship , want to insure a 1.0L car and everyones want over £2500

, tho most lads on here same age get it really cheap? does anyone no of any good companies? i probly want third party, able to mod, cheapish :)

try playing around with your job title on money expert.

the best i have found is £1545 with quinn. but i they keep dropping now and again. i think this is beacuse they do it but 17 and so many months?? i haven't looked at mods yet...

is that with modds added? quinn are the best for me, just passed in a unsecure car park for a 1.4 polo

but get this.

1546 for a 1.0l

1542 for a 1.4l

both quotes witht the same company...

I'm 18, living in a rough area,

1.4 16v polo on my own policy, fully comp for £1100 with admiral 8-)

just been ringing roung for qoutes. On a provisional license with All mods declared - Suspension and Alloys

Adrian Flux now now want £2000 despite them telling me i could get it forn £1400 2 or 3 months back - Mods declared

Bell want £2133 this is the first time I've been qouted by them

Brentcare Despite people saying Brentcare would insure me at 17 they dont insure till I'm 19

Direct Line dont insure anyone under 25 with Modifications :@

Co-operative wanted £2330.99 Online

I dont honestly understand how you lot can find qoutes with modifications declared :@

at 17 to mid 18 i was still driving around in a standard polo!

pointless modding it, costs far to much on insurance at that age.

just got my renewal thu , £545 fully comp with tesco ,

I'm 19 with 2 years NCB ,

i have a mk3 square bin drving since feb and my insureance is about £600 on my grandmas :) with N.F.U

suprisingly churchill have been very cheap for me, i pay £800 for the year and i have my alloys declaired but i said they were genuine vw ones which they are (g40 bbs ra's) , with an alarm fitted, fully comp, no parents on the policy with 1 years no claims at 18

i paid 2300 for my first insurance on a 1.4 8v 5dr 6n, i then got a valver 3 door it raisen to 2500, i had 1 accident, which was 50/50 liability. nw they want 3000quid to insure it 3rd party f&f. need thats not declaring collies, ICE, exhuast, and alloys.

i pay 970 for 97 6n, on my bfs name but it was around 1400 on my own but I'm doing bits and bobs and personally I'm not tellin my insurance about any of it

£895 fully comp, Quinn for the win.

18, 0ncb, 5 points and a BIG claim :(

18, £1500, mark3 1.3 SPI. One accident (own fault) Quinn direct, alloys declared own policy.

I'm 18 and I got quoted on a polo gt with mods for £2006 fully comp, after having a look at this site in a magazine my instructor gave me after passing my test. i think its called www.tiger.co.uk, its better than any other quotes i got considering i've only been driving 3 months

19 driving just over 1 year. £1175 fuly comp with own policy with bell on 1L polo :cry:

I'm 19 and my insurance on my 1st polo which was a 1.3 cl (nz) was £750 with a 1 years no claims!

that was with direct line!

mines 1300ish quid and I've got only 3 points of my license left my first car is a 1.4 8v I'm 19, I've got 0 NCB and I'm with kwick fit, I'm on my own insurance and I've declared my mods
