...And i'll take both of those Golfs too

Nice one buddy, saw it over on DCO... Looking very original!

what happened to the old one?

old was was a £105 ebay gamble, head gasket had gone, weighed in for £90 and the battery and rear shelf sold on - £5 profit in total :unibrow:

this one was a bit more expensive, but I have driven it an all seems ok :|

and the Mk2 is mine too

Well the old girl was collected

the journey home was " interesting "

The suspension is " floaty "

the brakes are  basic

The performance is better than the Mk2 golf auto i had. even touched 80 downhill with a following wind

So got her home,

Then turned it whiter than it was before

Then noticed some very original things on the car , including original dealer plates and the following.

Tried making a start on the faded / whiteish paint but my shoulders arent up to it

Then i got the service book out and

Full service book stamped til 2007, AND reciepts from the same garage from 2004 til 2008 for at LEAST £300 a year for service and MOTs. and its only done 5000 miles since last January

Views always welcome :?

Sweet mate another Mk2 Loon on CP ..

Love ..

How long until your tempted to get it on some wheels and a nice drop though .

  • Author

well the drop is being enquired about - need to drop before the rimmage is considered, oh and cash is a factor when its big brother takes a lot of funding too

heritage.jpg

still they make a nice pair

DSCF2722.jpg

and going by the front of the Loon in the last pic - it looks ok on standard rims dropped 8-)

tidy work on the paint there mate!

looks like a gem too, nice example :)

Wow, nice job on body paint 8-)

Love it so orginal as said looks very smart now!

  • Author

thats my dilema - do i leave it as is - or just a subtle drop and some rims :?
