It sure does...its not you

Did they ask how to spell your name?

I'd go to your nearest police station and bring it to their attention or write a letter to the address on the back and explain the situation. The fact is if the Police can't do their job properly i.e. fill a ticket out correctly then you shouldn't get punished.

My dad works for South Wales police  and I just asked him, he said your going to get the penalty whatever happens, if you contest it then they will just take you to court and the police officer(s) will stand up and say yep, thats him.

Sounds like theres nothing you can do sorry mate

Just wait and see what happens :p

What you do wrong :p

to get fine?

he was caught shagging!

you do the crime, you do the time.

forget that 'getting off on a technicality' crap.

take it like a man

That's right mate...

If they've got the registration number the fine will come to you. However if they

put the registration down wrong, like they did with me,they guy who's has the

registration number that was put down wrongly will get the fine.

I sold the car that got the fine the next day so even if they came back to

do me for no tax again....the car was gone and i've heard nowt about it since.

he was caught shagging!

LOOL, Gugz u should know better lol

It doesn't really invalidate the ticket. It would only do so if a court was convinced that the person named on the ticket was absolutely 100% someone else completely different, and if it's only a slight misspelling but with a correct date of birth, address and registration number etc on the ticket you don't really have any grounds to get out of the fine. In any case it's only £60 and 3 points, not exactly the electric chair :)

I won't name names but be very careful taking legal advice from forums like this, especially where people claim to be offering you legal defences that are absolute bolloc*s in the real world of the Magistrates' Court. If you want legal advice then get it from a proper solicitor, or at least someone who has the faintest idea of what they're talking about.

take it........

i got a ticket 60 in 50

they got the fuking reg wrong

so i phoned my mate who is a copper

he said they have up to 6 months to amend details on the ticket

and if you want to take it to court they will see it as wasting court time and give you a larger fine......

I had a producer once when on my way to work this is how he wrote the ticket...

Clothing: Blue shirt with tie

Black Trousers

Footwear: Shoes

Headwear: Spikey :lol::lol:

this is what we call at uni "pub law"

just take the points or whatever, you'll be worse off in the long run. unless you hire a shit hot solicitor, and tbh for 3 points and the fact 1 hour of his time will cost £250 you might as well just let it go :(

believe me
