Remote Keyless Entry Wires

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Iv recently purchased this Remote Keyless Entry PP02-60w for my 1995 vw polo. link below:

Remote Link

Now iv connected the two black plugs to my old locking pump in the boot then connected the white plug to the control unit. So the remote keyless entry system works fine I can unlock and lock my car no problem with the remote.

But how do I get the light to flash when I lock/unlock my car? Can this be done using the wires for the rear lights in the boot or elsewhere?

I have 5 spare wires on the plug and play cable ( Green, Red, x2 Brown, pink attached picture below) :? where do I need to connect these? Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

I will do, probably going to pop down to my local key cutting place tomorrow see what the cost will be.

Feels cheap to be honest but you get 2, as well as 2 replacement rubber buttons if you wear the others out. but for the price its a good buy

can you put the instructions up and i will let you know how to do it

i seem to have got it to work by connecting the 2x brown wires one to the black and white on the left and 1 to the black and green on the right . iv only got a black and green on the right and a black and white on the left

for some reason the lights will only flash if the ignition is set to on, so i duno why i have no power to them when the ignition is off??

fianlly got the new key cut the other day he charged me £15 for the key cutting and to have a new chip put in the key aswell

nice one its a cracking kit

i have rclick kits on my polo (plug'n'play remote) and the missus mx5 (remote and central locking components) and think the kits are really good.

I wouldnt get an alarm off them tho and dont think i would fancy wiring it into my ignition either.

For alarms in particular if it isnt a professionally fitted job, then its not worth it. wont save you any money on insurance, and its more likely to just keep going off in the middle of the night!

i think i already have central locking, but i want it were i press the button on the key and ope the door if you get me lol, are they easy to fit, coz i havnt done it before lol

thanks:)

If you already have central locking (so you have a CL or an SE or a 16v rather than an L) then the rclick kit is your best bet.

ok cheers, ill have a look on the website soon, would they all fit my polo? or is there specific ones? :)

if you could help me out abit mate that would be most apreciated... on that link is there any difference between them? which should i go for?

Thanks in advance lol :thumbsup::D

i have had a look and they dont seem to have the kit with the plug n play harness for the polo anymore. might be worth dropping them an email. It was a peice of cake to do.

The kit you want it this one:

But it looks like it is discontinued.

If they dont have them anymore, you will have to do all the wiring, but the instructions are pretty good. You will want one of the remote kits like this one:

do you have any sample instructions for this???

how hard isit to fit, i am a lil knowledge about this. does it involve cutting wires?

the kit i got had the harness, i dont have any sample instructions I'm afraid.

The harness plugged into the central locking pump so all the cables you will need are there, the kit didnt need to get power from anywhere else or need an additional earth or anything. Only bit extra was one cable to each side of the indicators, to make the lights flash when you lock/unlock, but thats not required.

not had any experienc e with the boot release. i suspect it will work with cars that have a boot release handle in the car somewhere... which the polo does not.

If it does work, then it would interface with the central locking kit. All of the rclick keys come with three buttons- lock, unlock and open the boot.
