Time to sell what was meant to be a project but then turned in to a daily and has now blown it's gearbox. I don't have the cash or time to mess about with it so I thought I'd offer it out to you guys first. First things first, I WILL NOT SPLIT, SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK :)

So 1998 6n 1.4 16v Polo in Silver

Good Points:

Starts first time, every time

Mechanically sound apart from the gearbox

MOT till July 09

Low Mileage for age (around 90k)

Bad Points:

Needs new gearbox

Body work is tatty, scratches in places. Bonnet needs replacing along with the grill.

Has to be 'hotwired' through behind the glovebox after the RAC messed about with the immobiliser. This can't be done without the key in the ignition though so is still safe.

No tax

Boot has to be opened from the inside

Most of those bits and pieces are fine for a project car, so who wants it?! Again, I will not split - this car needs to go in one piece.

Collection from Whyteleafe, Surrey for £200 and it'll need towing away on Tuesday 5th May.

There's a couple in, but same situation as you. I'm contemplating putting it on ebay, but leaving the end date so that you should end after the 28th. I'd rather not bother with all that so if you can come up with the money any earlier then we can sort it out. Cheers.
