I've just got hold of some BBS RAs, would like to see some others for insperation as to how I'm going to refurb them. I'm in no rush to get them done so I'm taking my time in deciding. Polo is a 6n, flash red, so sensible suggestions please.

Does powder coating polish up? If i go silver, which is the more likley option, i want them to shine, like mirror polishing. I certainly dont want a dull look.

No...you can't polish a powdercoated finish mate.You could try this finish....

I went for the Shadow Chrome finish on my CX's but it's a bit dark for some people....

Powdercoating just looks like paint in most cases, it's just thicker and apparently more durable. Personally I'd have them painted silver if I were to do it again.

my housemates GT has RAs with black centres with polished lip and it looks quite cool imo

Is the shadow chrome the colour or effect. My original idea was to have the lip and fronts polished with a red shadow effect down the sides and in the grooves. Now I'm thinking polished rim, powed coated silver insides but have the inner rim red???

loving the polished rims on that coupe too,have they been shadowed in black? if so i wanna know how to do that.

Also loving the fact that no one has shown me these on a 6n. Could i be a first, lol, theres probably a good reason no one has them.

who runs the place and i've seen a few set she's done and they

are really stunning....

mine are gun metal grey centers,( same as car ) and a black outer rim.

finished off with some baby blue "vw" logo centre caps.

something different! doesnt sound that great, but suits the car down to a tee.!

seems to me the way to go with these wheels is very subtle. I was going to try something a bit fancier but after seeing these, i think i may just go very simple lip polish and painted centre. cheers folk, keep em coming though, I've a lot of polishing to do before i decide on paint.
