Replace white strip below front lights and grill as mines bent.

New door hinges.

Remove glue from boot.

Rear badge the correct way up

Take off front GT plastic arches and line up properly as they have slipped down.

Coilovers and new wheels maybe for after winter?

Still not rectified the problem mine, under hard acceleration, still veers left.

hes on about torque steer, it will pull to one side under hard acceleration due to the left driveshaft been shorter

but i only find this happens in 1st and 2nd gear noramlly, does it happen through all the gears with you?

well... here's the story.

Thursday night, car got broken into basically. They've done the old trick of levering door open with a screwdriver or crowbar, then bent all door out to get there arm in and unlock the door. Then he's proceeded to move the box on the passenger seat (old bottom control arm that I'd replaced that night) onto the floor and unlock the passenger door to let his mate in. Then kicked at the steering wheel trying to break the steering lock, missing once or twice and muddying up all the dials in the centre. The ignition barrel has twisted up cracking all the plastic around it and pushing it up against the clocks. Luckily then, something must have disturbed them or they gave up and legged it leaving both doors wide open.

So thankfully they didn't take away my pride and joy carrying my possessions with them but now, I can't stand to even sit in the car. I don't know how to describe it. I love this car, but it don't feel like it's mine any more.

I know, I could bang another door on her and sort out the column but, it's already had a bodged second hand passenger door, wing and other various parts from previous vandalism. To me, it's just slowly turning into a shed so I think it's time I let her go. I will miss this car but it's better calling it a day with the good memories still here rather than letting her fade away and good times be forgotten.

So, somehow, if a can bring myself to it, this'll be broken and sold in parts. (i think, still pretty undecided as a don't know what to do)

i still cant believe this has happened! a cracking car, like i said before it would be a shame to let it go because of those scum!

but its totally up to you, i think once you got it sorted you would be happy with it again :-)

Sooo, carrying on from before but now with additions.

Things to do:

Replace passengers bottom control arm.

Add 'Scene Bummer' ebay addition to see what it looks like... - You'll see.

Replace white strip below front lights as mines bent.

Remove bumpers, sand all the paint off and properly back to black em' + fit the front one properly.

New door hinges. (will now be sorted when I get a new door this Saturday)

Remove glue from boot.

Sort the arch kit out.... again!

Rear badge the correct way up.

Take off front GT plastic arches and line up properly as they have slipped down.

New door.

Fix indicators as they've now stopped working.

New plastics around the steering column.

New stalks.

New vinyl for B pillars.

Treat odd patches of rust.

VWII callipers and vented discs with new pads.

Tracking and wheels balanced.

The engine, wheels and suspension can wait.

This weekend is gunna be a busy one.

All depends on people's opinion, alot of people round my end just think mine's a rusty old banger.

But yup, already found the problem with the indicators, just a fuse. Sorted some other niggly bits out last night while a got chance.

When checking relays i noticed bottom shelf beneath glove box wasn't fitted right so I sorted that. Found the wiring and the bulb which i've been looking for since i bought the car to fill the hole in a blanking cap beneath headunit. Fitted the headunit properly as you could see the cage from passenger side. Straightened up and sorted out the steering column. Just need to bang some plastic surrounds and a new door from scrapyard, give her a wash and polish, put pinstripe back on the door, swap door cards over and we'll be set. Sorted.
