Can you fit a Turbo to a 6n?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Just wondering if it is possible to fit a turbo to a 6n as my mate has one going spare and we thought it'd be a laugh to see if we could fit it.

cheers

yeah I'm fitting a charger to my AEE (if i get enough money lol) shouldnt be too hard. might need to get custom made manifolds though

might not be the cheapest solution to more power.

keep us updated

ye u can do anything if u got deep pockets..ul need low comp pistons, rods, new ecu probz, injectors and the rest and u gota think about the gearboxes because they cant even handle 45bhp from a 1 ltr.

Why do you even bother sending a credible reply to this...lol

Your just encouraging them

lol whats wrong with encouraging them?

suppose.. it would be good if it was done tho

it would be good if you done it.

But then so would wheels that flip around and let you fly. And a Flux Capaciter.

god how many times does this post pop up....last time someone found a website "storm developments" that produces them..just seems like a pointless waste of money, as the cost to do that is not gonna be far off, either fitting a 1.6 16v engine, a g40 or a 1.8T which are all gonna be a better option,

unless you like max power and just wanna be "rude" lol

Thanks for the advice, whats the best way to get a bit more grunt without having to shell out then? turbo sounds like a bad idea; don't want anything major just a little more go.

easiest way is to buy a faster car to start off with,

its a 1.0-1.4 polo its never gunna be a fast car without spending over £1000 on it, then there is all the associated parts such as better brakes and suspension.

Re-read my first post...cheapest engine change is gonna be the 1.4 16v at about £300 - £600 depending on if you do the work /or a mate and the cost of parts...next is gonna be the mk5 gti engine which is gonna be more to the region of about £1100 and then the 1.8T i think I've read but dont quote me that people are paying a few grand for this but if you asked around I'm sure someone would be able to give you a better estimate

I've got a 1.6 8v, i keep thinking about what to do and am still undecided lol
