Mk2 Saloon 68,000miles

Featured Replies

84' polo classic c

1 Litre

68,300 miles-ish on the clocks

29/05/09 tax

17/07/09 MOT

only had this car for a very short period of time (2 weeks) driven it about 400 miles

in that time, is a great little runner. good fun to drive aswell, feels like a proper classic.

bought it for a project car but in that time have realised

i have little passion for the car, and dont really have

the money to achieve what i want with it.

The body work on the car is sound ( classic dents etc )

by the looks of things has recently had new - webber carb

- coil

- dizzy cap + arm

in the two weeks i have had it I've - changed the headlights (fixings were broken on the last ones).

- fitted a glove box + sun visors

- swapped the steels for ones with better tyres on them

- begun repainting the boot

- replaced the drivers seat

bad bits: - paintwork on the bonnet (laquer peel)

- i have fuck all paperwork for it other than the ownership

- needs 2 new brake hoses (about £10 each)

- one front seat doesnt match the rest of the interior

- small rust hole on front valance ( not structural ) shown in pics

good bits: - bodyworks good

- it all works

- ridiculously cheap insurance

- saloons are the tits!

sorry mate, spent 500quid on it a month ago, and have spent around 100 on it since on various bits and pieces.

i had someone say on volkszone forum:

"haha its wierd but i sold a 86 for 600 quid and it had no oil pressure"

based on those two facts i am not prepared to lower it more than i already have. even at this price i

will have lost £200.

sounds like the people who bought your cars got a great deal.
