life after the 20vt polo......

Featured Replies

some may remember my old 20vt 6n2, well, i got rid at christmas, cause beleive it or not, i got bored and deep down wanted a mk2 golf 1.8t. so i got myself a mk2 vr6 that had had alot of work doing to it, but needed just alittle bit more doing to it to make it how i always wanted a mk2.

anyway....enough talking, heres some pics of old and new.

the polo.....god, i miss it sometimes :-(

with the vr6 engine.....

and the 20vt that will power it soon :-D ...it only has 19k on it :-D

the golf has full vr6 running gear, brakes etc etc, and a full stainless jetex system. the interiour has mk4 recaros ( which were fitted badly by the previous owner and will be going for either mk2 recaros or recaro speeds which were in the polo) and a corrado rear bench. i will also replace the steering wheel for a momo team. think ill go for a 300mm version, but undecided yet.

anyway, thanks for looking, polo ownership was mint, and maybe oneday ill get the polo back lol, roll on the 20vt mk2 :-D :-D

c and c welcome, cheers

originally i was gonna run the vr6...hence why i got a vr6 mk2. but i love the way the 20vt delivers its power and soon got bored of the vr, so i decided to 20vt it, as it was already a good base to do it.

B-e-a-utiful!!!! I love that colour in mark 2's!

Health to enjoy

Cheers rob

haha cheers dude, thought bout charging the vr, but it woulda guzzled big time with the charger, and as its my daily it wasnt wise lol

the 20vt's gonna be remapped on emerald management to start with, then in the future i might put a bigger turbo on it with an equal lenght manifold..but we'll see. should see 280/290 bhp to start with, and i think thatll be moe than enough power lol

looks gorgoues, think you made the right move swapping for a mk2

Looks great, but why not VRT?

golf looks 'kin good mate

nice stance

mega power :D

i'm fully in agreement with binning the vr lump, the BAM or the 20vt in general is a much better engine than vr IMO.

look forward to seeing it done though mate.

Loved the Polo, love the look of that golf even more!

Single wiper looks a bit weird though

golf looks sick, think I'm going to get rid of the cordoba in favour for something older (corrado!)

i didnt like the way the vr delivered its power, it was to smooth and progressive, i prefer the ooommff you get from the 20vt when boost kicks in, plus being a newer engine i feel it just makes the car feel a whole lot better lol

ill keep this thread updated as it progresses 8-)
