Good bhp but torque seems a bit low???

I'm not to clued up on torque figures tbh, but i do know that it shifts like a good-un haha , my mate cant pull away from me in his 330bhp leon cupra anyway 8-)

Well that's all that matters then!!!

It's making very very good power... i just would of thought your Torque would of been around the 290/300 mark. Not sure why it would be low, possibly RR callobration or something ghey like that.

Sweet car btw.

its pretty good as a daily tbh, I've had barely any problems with this compared to when i had the 20vt polo. all thats happened with this since i had it converted was the coilpacks went, which is a common problem anyway. And yeah, id say the 20vt is better suited to the golf than the polo, its just seems to be alot quicker and i seem to get the power down better, dont get me wrong, the polo was awesome, but i feel the 20vt just belongs in the mk2. OFC being a 20 year old car, its still raw as you like when you plant it, but it can also be very smooth and refined on the motorway.

yhhh mate thats mine :) should really update my avatar pic as since its had a full respray, little more smoothing and new interior. only thing letting it down is the engine bay...love a 20v just seems to me for the money its alot of hassle, cant run as low, snapping driveshafts etc it would just be a wkend/show car. which seems a shame for the money...

but your plans sound spot on! love to see this on the show circut next year

yeah, i see your point about the 20vt polo.... its part the reason why i got rid, i just couldnt be arsed with the constsnt problems, even though it was an awesome little car. should be at a few shows next year. defo going to Ultimate Dubs. i wont be showing it as such... its no where near the standard lol, it'll just be making an appearance :-)

20vt + Borbet A = Win tbh :)

I can't agree with you more nickb! However fast and fun the 6n2 is with the 20vt lump i do think it feels a bit fragile... almost as if the car just can't cope with it... I'm feeling the need for something a bit more refined already (Mk4 R32) but I want to hang on to the Polo until next show season.

yeah i always felt the polo felt fragile too, was probaly down to the constant problems making me feel like it would break again if i pushed it ( driveshafts being the problem there)

the golf feels really strong though, i love it haha. this ones defo a keeper :-D

ok then guys...in all honesty then. is it worth it?

or am i better off with a gti lump with stainless manifold etc

only because next year i was going to do it if i had enough work after christmas..but i dont really want to br throwing any of my hard earnt cash away on something that will break down every 5minutes!lol

oh and i promise this is the last question (sorry guys!ha)
