hopefully tmoro i will see them and ask them for their reason, which i hope is legitamate!

Why should they have to give you a reason to park outside their own fuckin house!?? Cheeky fucking students!

Because its a free road and not their private property?

regardless..there's such a thing called common courtesy... which it something a lot of you haven't heard of

people get sooo agressive about the road in front of their house!! its quite funny really. If people do generally have an issue, they can request that a street becomes permit only if there are enough of them.

fucking right they do.. especially when it's scummy little fucking students that park right outside their houses cos they're too fucking lazy to walk an extra couple of minutes and too fucking tight to pay the parking charge

^^ Yet people who go straight into work because their mummy or daddy can get them in or they landed a good job on the off chance...or simply left school and got a job because they couldn't be arsed to learn any more have the money to pay such things, and so shouldn't?

Id kick your car to shit if you moved cones from outside my house

Just imagine how frustrating it must be not to be able to park outside your own fricken house, just because some tight fisted students dont want to pay for parking. I know we all pay road tax and should be able to park anywhere, but morals have to kick in somewhere. You only have to leave the car there, walk to uni, come back and drive home. They probs have to leave the house a few times a day, walking a marathon each time would piss them off

He is right

BUT

Don't forget what it's like to be skint and a student (though isn't that what your loan is to help for?)

You pay road tax and the spaces are not actually theirs to claim

They are claiming part off a street as their own, when anyone on that street should be able to park there

That's like me keeping cones outside my mates house, so I have a space for when I go round hers once a week

It's bollox

1 rule... First come, first serve. That's life and parking is a bitch where ever you go

I don't blame him though, I'd do the same to piss you students off

It's well annoying when you come home from work and you can't park outside or close to your own house!

were you guys never students?! i have to carry two a1 portfolios in more or less 5 days and week, back and forth to my car, nothing to do with laziness whoever said that, and were hardly scum, just trying to find that silly path through life like everyone else, and in terms of money you dont get a student loan for a foundation year, anyway i just got back and some one had moved the cones for themselves and put them on their doorstep. and a mk1 golf gti was in its place, duno whose it was but it looks way better then 2 silly cones

Haha I'm sorry, but you're reply has got to me

If you feel that strongly about it, why didn't you just move the cones, park there and give that rant to the cone owners when they sat waiting for you haha

as i said previously, I've knocked twice to see why these cones were there, and personally id like to know their explanation, whether its they're fed up of not getting a place, or its because of a disabled family member, and i can give my side, maybe they will understand, but as of yet I've been unable to get hold of these people, which leads me to think they're leaving it there all day till they get back from work. and yes i do feel strongly about it, its illegal.

illegal?? how the bollocks is it illegal?? My dad went to police station to ask for cones as he was waiting for a skip and he didn't want people parking there. The police gladly obliged! Oh and for the record if some little punk student had the cheek to knock my door asking me why I go to such lengths to stop little punky students parking outside my own house then putting it nicely i'd slam the door in his fucking face..hopely breaking his spotty little nose in the process!

or its because of a disabled family member

I'm sorry but I don't get why you are using this statement?

Is it to make yourself feel better or look like a caring sole after you've think you've said something bad?

You're allowed your opinion ffs haha

If they had a disabled family member, I'm sure they would have got the street to sign up to get permits which means you wouldn't be able to park there full stop

So why don't you move the cones and park there and leave a note? They probably work 9-5, so put the cones back when you leave?

Is it actually illegal? Does anybody know?

I think you should quit bitching about one person and cones and find another spot

Leave earlier to get a space etc?

Or grow some balls, move the cones and park there

I also don't believe parking is £20 per day

There must be a free car park in walking distance near by?

Last year my car parking once a week was £9, when I couldn't afford it or justify that on car parking, I went to the free car park about a mile away and walked, lugging lots of heavy accounting books

There are plenty of other students in the same situation as you if not worse and who can't even drive so have to carry there shit everywhere they go...

id do the same if students wer dumpin ther cars outside my house, granted i dont have cones outside but if they are blocking access to my house in my eyes they are in the fuckin way! buy a permit use you student loan thats potentially what it is there for. your lucky i didnt get the results to get to go to uni.

when i was at college this week just gone i got a lift or i walked to and from to save on parking and its only 3 quid a day to park with a little walk.

but yeah they dont technically have the right to put cones up but what gives you the right to knock on there door and fucking question it???????

i say find some where else, walk or get a buss pass!!!!!!!

Dub Danny,i did not get a full time job at 16 because i was too lazy to do further education in search of a sweeter job.

I got a full job at 16 in order to pay my way, straight away, even though it was harder bloody work than you've ever done. You cocky student brat.

JC25,i figure the cones are there for the Golf. Maybe not legally, but still.

He is right

I dont know what its like to be a skint student, i left school early to go to work. If money is such a problem to students, then maybe they shouldnt drive? dont they get cheaper public transport fares?

Who ever mentioned carrying A1 portfolios to class, thats just weak imo, simply addapt to cope. Shit, try lugging 25kg sacks of granary flour and crates of tinned food around for 12 hours a night

A neighbour of ours once parked in our drive when his daughters car was in his. Naturally my dad parked his daily in front of our house trapping neighbours car in our drive for about 3 days.

So bare in mind if people think they own a bit of road, chances are they'll go for sly cheeky 'revenge'.

He is right

I also dont know what its like, but i went to college and I'm now working full time, joining the fire service this year which is hardly lazy or any bullshit like that!

Tbh your lucky if your a student and can afford a car, most of my mates cant, and they have two things called legs, nature gave them to us so we could move around rather than be cave blobs. they work pretty well to be honest!

Also imagine living there for like, 10 years, students are only there to put up with it for a few years whereas they have to live there for however long they live there, maybe they cant afford to move?

dno about you but id feel like a right asshole if someone answered that door in a wheelchair or with one leg or something, what you gonna say then?

...what you gonna say then?

Wanna buy a shoe?

sorry, couldnt resist. You should park somewhere else and walk you lazy git.

Same up at the tech near me, cars have been keyed for moving cones. not worth it.

Quality! I think i'd pretend to be a door to door salesman, or a retard, just to have a reason (or in the case of the retard no reason) for ringing the bell lol

parking elsewhere and walking FTW

i never get a place outside mine!

Traffic Cones ;)

a. park somwhere else on that road you cone whore! lol.

b. park there and put the cones in your boot.

c. park further away and buy a unicycle.

d. build a bridge and get over it.

i dont really mind about parking outside mine even tho i normally do but my neigbour used to park their van outside our house but if we parked in there spot... where one of the 2 cars or van goes they used to go wild...... then parked over my drive(when i could get on the drive) and didnt expect me to kick off...... Fools is all i have to say

I am just marvelling at how such a simple debate turned to such a desperate justification of career choice and analysis of the foundations and merits of the education system!

And to think some people think we drive polos cos we are stupid!

Personally i think if you have only ever seen the space when it is empty i am sure you could come to a mutually beneficial arrangement that meant you actually used your polo to save the space for them!! just in case the punto owners club have the same forum topic about the cones and decide to get militant!

Wow, chill out there and step down off your high horse you impotent fool.

Who said I was being cocky, and who are you to question the amount of work I do?

I take 3 A levels, sat 12 seperate GCSE's along with an NVQ level 2 when I was at High School all while pulling a part time job and I've had three other jobs before that and I spend my summer holidays working my arse off for a shitty wage just so I can pull my own way.

So I suggest you take back your comment, shove it where the sun doesn't shine and nobody is there to read it and keep opinions, and statements to yourself.

knock on their door and ask if they're disabled LOL

Ha Ha i actually LOL'd!

But Hey!, its direct and atleast you will get an instant answer... :p

Lol'd x2.

i would just move them, for teh lulz. no doubt about it
