yea the HID kits pretty much fit any car, there stupidly easy to fit, i'm fitting some to my polo tomorow, so if you guys want i will take some pics for fitting and finished so you know what they look like before you buy and that..

They are all the same, cheap or not cheap, the ones from the UK are EXACTLY the same as the ones from Hong Kong.

The U.K sellers buy them from Hong Kong, and then fool buyers by selling them at a higher price when they are the same item.

Believe me I know how these things work.

First off, I'm sorry don I won't be interested as you can imagine.

Secondly for those that think all HID kits are the same your wrong.

Because Plasma / LCDs are made in china does that mean that all the Plasma / LCDs on the market are the same?

So the 42" Plasma in Lidl priced at £299 is just the same as the 42" Panasonic priced at £1600?

Generally cheaper kits are cheaper for a reason. They either use lower quality unbranded components, if they don't they save money on research, development and or testing etc etc.

Dont get me wrong I kind of understand what your saying, especially when I look at competitors of mine charging £199 for a kit I've got priced at £110.

Some people would think that the £199 kit is better quality and buy them, others would think hes a rip off merchant and buy the £110 ones. Others would think both the £199 & £110 kits are the same kits as the ones sold on ebay direct from a 15 year old boy in china with no warranty or aftersales for £1.99 including postage and buy that.

Like I say to anyone on here or any other site for that matter, you should always look around and compare the product your wanting to buy from a whole range of different suppliers. Check the location, check the price, check the warranty & returns procedure, and only when your happy with what your buying then buy it. I do this with everything I buy, not just HIDs.

Why buy problems when you can buy overal good quality and only have to buy it once for an extra few quid?

I am by no means slagging off dons kits as I dont know nor do I want to know who manufacturers them, or anything else about them for that matter. I genuinly wish him and the members of this forum the best of luck with the group buy. I am sorry if I've posted this un appropriatly as I didnt intend for it to be such a long post, nor was it intended to dicourage anyone wanting to purchase off don.

I just see this kind of comparing happening all the time and I'm only trying to give some advice in an whole and not just HIDs.

If the admin/mods/users wished Id have kept my opinion/advice to myself then delete the post and no harm done.

Thanks and happy buying.

Nathan

i ran into some clearance issues with the back covers would clear the h.i.ds so had to cut a hole and the insulate them up once i was finished not that bad of a job, might jus fibre glass the covers to make em fit around the bulb..

don, thats strange that you need more space than whats already there. I've fitted them into tight spaces before today with no trouble. I take it you drill the covers anyway with a 25mm hole to pass the wires through?

I'd ask to get somepictures up so I could hve a look but I doubt I'd be able to determine what to do from a picture. Where you from? Local to Manchester?

that what they tell you to say to your potential customers is it?
