would 16" alloys look too big for a mk4?

Get 16s. 15s are boring if they are smaller than 8" wide. I have 17s, slammed coilovers, and no scrubbing!

i run 16s on my 6kv.. (slightly bigger car tho) n ash runs 16s on his green 6n.

Sorry to resurrect and old thread (really old) but I've got a few questions about the grey polo in the picture there, so here goes, if I'm right the wheels are Audi a8 steels? I think?? But are those centre caps the ones that come with the wheels? Or are they custom or something else? And lastly from what I've found they appear to be rarer than rocking horse poop? Apologies again for reviving the thread but I've looked a lot!! And from what I can see these answers aren't around or too easy to find. Thanks in advance for any help here :)

You're right they are a8 winters with original caps and there rare but do come up now and again for big buck though. There's a guy local to me asking £500

depends on the width and offset as to whether you'll need to roll your arches

I've got some dare rs 16x8j front and 16x9j rear, dont know the offset off the top of my head but need the front arches flaring and some new arches putting in for the rear, i say new arches putting in for the rear, could prob get away with flaring but my arches arent the best anyway so may aswell

Ah okay thanks. The borbets are: rear : 16x9j ET15. Front : 16x7.5j ET20. I've got coilovers anyway so can higher it up to suit. And the rears have stretched tyres anyway which will help.
