Yes mate you have to ring your moped insurance and state you want a certificate of 1years no claims bonus then you have to send it too your car insures... easy as that really they give you up untill a month to sort it out any way so long as you do it you'll be fine.

what insurance company's can you use your bike no claims with ??

I've got 4 years no claims that i'm not doing any think with at the moment and if i could use them for my car it would save me a lot of £££

churchill i think, but i think you can only use 1 years ncb

I found quinn a total rip off. They quoted me £800 for a provisional license but it went up to £1800 when I passed. Sod that.

I got £1112 at 18 with no mods third party fire and theft. To be honest £1500 at 17 with mods isn't all that bad.

try £7895 fully comp on a 1.9d mk4 ;)

we have a winner

Yeah churchill do and you can declaire as many as you have, so you could declaire all four but obv you wont be able to use them on your bike insurance as well.

thanks i've got 2 lots bike ncb anyway so i can use one on my car

do churchill like modded car's thought ??

They was abit iffy with my dad on the phone about it, but accepted it did knock the price up a fair bit as well but £1254 is cheaper than most young-uns on here.

bell is the way forward mate. put your mum and dad on your insurance.

i just got a quote for £913 with a years driving and a claim. the other cheapest quote i got was 1600!

putting your parents on there makes the biggest difference ever, doesnt effect them at all. the insurance just think that they will be driving your car some times so its all good. and you have the option to drive other peoples cars for an extra 45 quid with is well handy :)

comparethemarket.com once found me a very reasonable quote of £999,999 for my Mk3 GT with no mods declared....so i think £1500 is a bargain tbf....

admiral, 1 years ncb, 1 ltre polo 760quid :D own insurance with my mum on it too 8-)

£1250 for my scirocco with quinn, insurance group 14, they wanted £1400 for my polo gt, insurance group 8?????

got a quote from egg, the people who do credit cards for £555 bargain all other quotes were £800/£900 +

how old are you?

Not being funny or trying to piss on your fire, but at 17, just passed, 1500 on a modded car is pretty good  It will go down after some experience, we all have to start somewhere....which is normally paying through the neck!

I agree with the above.

Think your self lucky mate I'm 17 going on 18 and my insurance was 2000 for a polo 6n 1.4 8v T reg. It has to be done and as you sat it will go down after a year.

I'm paying (well my parents are :p) just under £700 for a mk2 bready with my mods. Which is pretty good 18 years old on my first car.

i paid 900 quid at 17 on my mk3 polo under my dads name!

i waited a year and got insurance in my own name and for the 2nd year it was same price but that was cool

try HIC (herts insurance company) there the cheapest I've ever found!

that aint a bad price due to the mods! I'm 20 and my company wont insure me if its lowered!

I paid in the thousands for a C2 VTR when i was 17!

i paid £983 when i was 20 with no NCB on a mk2 1L

£487 with 1 yr NCB :-)

currently paying £340 with 4 years NCB on a mk3 with suspension declared

some companies wanted over £1000!

shop about, tis the only way
