Just thought i'd lash a progress thread up here.

Picked up some old BBS RM's on Sunday evening.

As you can see.... they're not in the best of shapes.

But they're complete non the less...

Today I've spent my day getting the bits and pieces together for their makeover and spent a couple hours removing the old rusty bolts :(

They're off tomorrow to get the tyres whipped off so we can get in properly and buff up the lips to restore them to their former glory! :)

I couldn't resist sanding down the bits that i could get to with 600 though! (cheers to Andy for the help)

This is how they're looking after a day's half arsed graft.

Centres will be painted a dark grey and i'll refurb the two best dishes to use and buy two deeper dishes when i get the gold bolts.

BBS Skills... :p i got a few photos of the lip that i started to polish up. it still needs more 600 imho but i hit some with 1200 and autosol to see how it would sorta look.

Not being rattle canned. I'm going to do them properly with compressor and gun. I've been getting night classes off little micky

its only a bench grinder and a arbor and mop dude you could buy that setup for £50 :-) max.

My progress so far is this:

All wheels stripped,

Centre caps stripped,

The backs of two barrels primed,

Faces flatted back and scotched, ready for primer.

Hopefully should be painted this weekend, but in a different colour to what i had planned.

Oh and I've bought 2 3" stainless dishes.
