New Mk3 Coupe project.

Featured Replies

Orite everyone , just bought my first car , its a red Mk3 coupe . I'm still learnin to drive :( , really annoyin to work on the car and then not be able to take it for a spin. anyway iv had it for about 3 weeks and decided to start a project thread since iv got big plans for her.

In the future i want to start a ralley project and I'm probly going to use her. I'm workin on the idea of a bike engine in the back and a full roll cage lowerd on coilies. what you think?

Start Of The Project.

This is her after abit of work. I spent £120 on some BBS RA's , which are in mint nick and also got clear front indies. I then sprayed the front badge black and gas blow torched the bumpers wich came up a treat and now there jet black. I think it the future , when I'm driving , I'm gona smooth the bumpers out completely and get them the same colour as the body. could anyone tell me what colour she looks like because i cant seem to find the code in the boot.

Better pics of the Rims. they need some smaller profile tires on obviously , it looks like a dune buggy lol, but i will be gettin them sorted soon and should be gettin some bbs centres for them.

Got her a new ariel , looks alright , dunno if it goes tbh. It didnt fit straight away so i took it to work and made a little stainless steel adaptor to make it fit in the stalk.

I also made this bad boy at work. Its also made form stainless steel and is probable worth about £150 in medical grade stainless steel lol. I can custom make these for anyone who wants one, they look great , ill probably charge about £20 posted :) , PM me if anyone is interested.

i also sprayed the rear badge black wich i am gonna do in a black thats not matte because it didnt look as good as i thought. and i also again made my bung to go in the wiper hole out of stainless steel wich again i can make for anyone for say £10 deliverd , they will never rust and look mint.

i also did this today. I dont think I'm gonna keep it like this , just thought id do it because it was pretty dirty so i gave it all a good clean, and one day i might take them out again and make a false floor from chequer plate.

So tell me what you think then and if you advise anythin. or have any feedback

Max.

all lookin pretty good mate, rally plans for the future sound good too. About colour coding the bumpers though, i personally dont think fully colour bumpers look that great, so if you're gonna do it i'd go half

yep , hopefully end of this month ill get the tires sorted , I'm doing my speaker set up as soon as my chequer plate comes. and then when I'm a bit older (since I'm 17) and got some more spare cash , hopefully , there will be an engine conversion , coilovers and full inner and outer roll cage set up.

what you think of the custom mods so far?
