Uberholt has loads of different meanings in english, means overtake, dated, outdated and loads of others depends on what context you use it in. I've never heard of dictleisten or mint for that matter. but und simmeringen means and simmering but that depends on the the rest of the sentence.

there are alot of german phrases that we simply dont have a meaning for in english and vice versa. German is such a complex language it is unreal to grasp a hold of. Once you try learning other languages like german or italian you realise just how lazy the english language is.
