185/55/14

Does anybody has this dimention in a mk3 g40?

Does this dimention rub with the car lowered 4cm?

Any disadvantages in acceleration?

Ps. I prefer that size because it has many tyres to choose and is much more cheap than 185/50s...

i have this size on my mk2, no rubbing with a 40mm drop, but also depends on your wheel offset, not noticeable difference in acceleration, but it depends on what you had before and the weight of your wheels.

up front i have 185/60/r/14 i catch when theres over 2 people in the car. with the car lowered about 20mm (cut 1 spring out. but it rubs on full lock

I had 185x55x14s on Golf GTi 6x14 et38 wheels, down 40mm,and they only caught the front of the passenger chassis leg on full right lock. Also the back of the outer front arches on heavy compression (big speed ramps).

Otherwise they fitted fine, looked okay, and gripped very well.

Wasn't happy with how they felt though - imagine running with shoes on that are two sizes too big. It just felt too big-footed for my preference.
