My valver needs an oil change. What grade oil should I buy? Also, which filter should I get? Is GSF going to be the cheapest place with my discount card?

edit: National website says Castrol Edge 5W30 Full Synthetic. Is this ok?

The 'Castrol Edge' bit will be a sponsorship thing,but its true fully synth is the way forward.

Viscosity seems a bit thin,i went 5w/40. But they might be right with 30,especially if its low mileage.

Have you read the pinned Opie Oils threads at the top of the forum?

I've always used 10w40 in mne - thats what vw recommended and all, tha castrol edge is for later vag cars as far as I'm aware

10w-40 semi with regular changes is fine, as an upgrade 5w-30 or 5w-40 synthetic.
